The Microboards Print Factory Pro Inkjet CD / DVD printer is fully automated with a 100-disk capacity, large individual ink cartridges CMYK, and PC / Mac.

Speed - There are multiple options resolution printing with Print Factory Pro. For our testing and production cycles, we used to be the "best text and graphics" or "normal photo" options. The normal photo mode slower and a decline of more ink for printing high resolution, the text and graphs. The design of the model of the disk also affects the number of CD / DVD that can be printed per hour. We found that you get about 75 discs coverage / hour using standard photo printing. With print coverage of 30% using text and graphics best mode, you get about 115 CDs per hour. 4.5 Stars.
Bin Capacity - Microboards PF-Pro has a capacity of 100 discs bin, or CD-R or DVD-R. This stacks well against most other sub $ 3,000 automated inkjet printers. An entry would be much greater capacity with the addition of all C, M, Y, K and ink cartridges. 3.5 Stars.

Easy to Use - The PF-Pro has a single USB 2.0 connection to a PC or MAC. It comes with a popular and easy to use CD / DVD graphics software called SureThing. You can import graphics standard images, etc.. jpeg,. bmp,. png and. gif. The printer driver controls the robotic disc loading mechanism, so there's no complicated software to learn. You can also print directly from Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator with some marginal adjustments in the printer driver. In addition, we were able to connect 4 of Microboards PF-Pro printers to one PC with a USB 2.0 hub. 4.5 Stars.
Maintenance - As with most CD / DVD inkjet printers, the Pro Factory printing needs to have sensors and internal parts cleaned approximately every the 5000 records because of the ink during spraying. In addition, there are two print heads (1 for black / yellow and one for cyan / magenta) that must be replaced every 50,000 or more disks. We have not had the need to replace the print heads from this review. 3.5 Stars.
Technical Support - Microboards has above average technical phone support for CD / DVD industry equipment. After warranty repairs can be costly, as they are with other products manufactured in this niche. 4 Stars.
Conclusion - Print Pro "> Microboards Print Factory Pro (Part # PFP-1000) is our first choice for automated CD printer inkjet standard 120 mm CD-R, DVD-R and Blu-Ray media. The strong points are the cost per print, speed and the ability to connect multiple printers on a single PC. This is Microboards Printers a must have for 4000 inkjet print individual discs or more per year.
