I am a big fan of HP products. I have four laptops and three HP printers over the last 10 years. Also I have owned Dell and Toshiba Averatec laptop for the same period.
Advantages:
1) keyboard. The keyboard keys are a bit "thinner laptop to others (such as Toshiba and Sony models), but not too hard to get used to. I use it a lot.
Two) good battery life. I'm not tired yet, but it seems that at least three hours.
3) work well. Can I use the clock on your knees and try not to question the previous HP laptop heating and injury Averatec c.
4) The computer Cell total budget of the overall design seems quality.
5) eSATA
6) distance - never use these but this time it has an HDMI output.
Disadvantages:
1) BIOS is locked. It's an unfortunate thing. Not that I can not enter, but only certain features and options are not available. I've never seen a BIOS limited (and myself many books [see above] and workstations. Probably not significant for most good.
2) Strange as it may seem technical support told me that HP does not support SATA SSD. I read some laptops have problems with this .. I tried it myself, but probably. I hope HP does not know just what you hear and just do not see list of supported hardware.
3) If the laptop goes into sleep mode receives a special horizontal line that forces me to restart. I tried to update the display output on an external monitor to change the resolution, etc. - but these methods do not work. It maybe just my laptop or a driver issue.
4) Ease of fingerprints all over it (Probably for the coverage of HP).
5) The powder appears to be very large extent, HP
Comments / neutral:
1) Do not block the lid until it clicks. The lid is closed, however.
2) No USB II or other I / O ports on the back of the laptop. Only 3 USB ports.
3) The power cord is on the right side of the computer back.
4) The audio ports are on the right side and two headsets. This seems fairly typical for many HP notebooks, but I never use. However, it is nice to have.
5) A port expansion Dock on the left side. Has not yet tried (half-dock), but at least you know it is compatible with the dock.
6) No modem. It does not bother me, but for those of you who still use dial-up want to know.
7) comes with 802.11n and it works as expected.
Overall, I think it's a good laptop for students or someone like me who does not do much with his laptop, but throws and violence is much more during the trip.

I had this notebook for 3 weeks now and I love it!
The best part is the processor. It all works so well. The 4 GB RAM only. The screen is superb and can be adjusted according to your preferences. The keyboard is nice and "clicky." The keypad is extremely useful. I used this notebook with stuff very multitasking and others and it has with no problems.
It starts in about a minute. This includes the time I need to type my password. The battery gives me about 2 hours, which might not be great, but it's not horrible. It is dead quiet even in the use the more intense the fan never seems to need to run high. And it stays cold. In addition, it is very light. I did not take it anywhere too, but every time I take it always surprises me how the light is. I upgraded from an HP DV1000 that had a screen 14 "and was thin and lightweight, which is like light.
I recommend this laptop to everyone. The value is nothing less than stealing.

Great laptop with FEATURES!
I got this HP laptop for about 2.5 weeks. I bought it to transfer my home videos from VHS and DV tapes to the avi files and DVDs. So far I was very impressed. The i3, although at the lower end of the intel "i" processors, for my purposes is fast! I downloaded a trial version of Corel VideoStudio Pro x3 (subsequently purchased the full version), that I also recommend for fans of video there. The hardware and software complement each other, as evidenced by delays in processing the capture, editing and etching steps. A feature of this monster HP is the LightScribe DVD / CD. [...] Have freeware system and application you can download from their site. There may be a couple hundred models that you can insert your own images and burn them directly on media. NO LABELS paper! You'll need LightScribe DVD / CD, reqular not work. I removed some bloatware (HP games, etc.) If you are videos, I suggest getting an external hard drive (1 to 1.5 TB of preference) that the files take a bit of storage space, AVI files, in particular. The WiFi feature is awesome ... I surf the web regularly piggyback on other networks around my area, even Skype video call my daughter. It is Bluetooth enabled as well, but I have not tried functionality. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase ... I'll try to make update this review later, maybe after 6 months of ownership.

I love this laptop its extreamly fast and does all the cannot, I say enough about it I'm a girl at heart my first Toshiba laptop was a Toshiba and served me very well if I was a little nervous arises, but the deciding factor for my husband was the HDMI port that allow us to see the media on the HD flat screen factor of a friend computer nerd was the processor i3 which for me was like Huh? But I trusted him and brought this laptop I was playing and I win boy has absolutely I love this laptop its light and sexy not an eye sore and so functional. Also isn't bad either life battary last 4 hours and even then I am DVD burning and youtube videos surf the Web or watch. In fact, I just put mine, OfficeMax because they were cheaper and the delivery was Free two days instead of 2 to 4 weeks at amazon. This laptop is simply amazing and super fast in everyway the unique sound and can be fixed with speakers or headphones, you need to blow the keyboard is not perfect away.The big step for small sense it is not too strong and thats always a close for me I love you my Toshiba, but it's one thing I hated the keyboard has been aweful. Listen do yourself a favor and buy this laptop and its a HP thats obviously a good thing to another great thing about BEA is the line of customer support when I arrived that I failed to go wireless network in my home so I called the number of Hp and a wonderful woman was able to resolve the problem remotely, I didn't have to do something that was great because I've never seen movement of the mouse on my computer and witnessed a grip on reality my screen from God knows where and just fixing everything that was wrong with her. Again this laptop is incredible and I recommend it to anyone also if you have an old laptop and want to transfer files I suggest that the Belkin Easy Transfer Cable I got one while I order this notebook and he did move my files flawlessly and easily everything I wanted, even copied my workstations are identical now and all I did was click on a button. I am a happy camper!

great value and performance
Awesome product and very good for the price. Nice and light. The screen is great for watching movies or playing games. Keyboard and mouse pad take some getting used to at first, but the best I've ever used. This computer is lightning fast! Windows 7 Home Premium with HP software tools that work with all the ease of use. I own and belonging to the uprising several computers, which is by far the best. Will the need for a desktop computer obsolete. A full-featured than I could ever possibly want and need in the future.
My only complaint is that the black finish and chrome fingerprints and smudges mousepad show more than I like. But mocha finish is so attractive that I'd rather live with faded keep smudges.

Nice laptop quality
I just got this and it started up, the screen quality is very nice, much better than the old style laptop with a satin finish. This glass high finish really makes the screen apart. I've used laptops from Dell, Lenovo and Gateway in the past for my first impressions are below.
The computer laptop is not heavy, very reasonable and despite the 6-cell battery, most of the time I'm connected so it is not a big problem for me. I have not timed the battery, but to this day as with any new laptop seems to do very well. I wish it came with a bag or a bag of any kind until I get my laptop bag, but I think I'll be careful.
Connectors side are well prepared, I do not see too many issues with a place, it seems quite nice. My version did not have a modem (which I hope we do not need much more). The only thing I'm determined and it may be my misunderstanding but it should have "N" capacity wireless network, but when I started, my router dual band only showed the regular G.
The great thing love is the key to control the keyboard layout, everything is touch sensor, no knobs to break. The other thing I really like is the pc does not heat up like the old laptops do. It has no "side vents" to the cpu so it is clearly a much cooler operations of its laptops earlier. I always had to make sure I turned off the laptop in the bag or they overheat. With this style I'd be surprised if I had a problem. It comes with a small remote video is good if you look a movie on a flight or do not want to mess with the keyboard. HDMI on the side would probably be of good use if showing videos that way.
I personally do not care about the "bubble" design on the black finish, it could have been left alone without this kind of thing but good. As I work with it the more I will be able to post more, but it's a nice laptop and they even have a $ 50 discount on some locations.
Regarding the games, I have not tried it yet, but I suspect in most games of this average should do fine I3. I'm sure on-call versions have probably not work well but I have a desktop pc at home for this kind of games.
