Ink Cartridges
An ink cartridge is a replacement printer ink jet ink which contains that spreads on paper during printing and sometimes the printhead itself. Each ink cartridge contains one or more ink tanks partitioned (tanks), electronic contacts and a chip that communicates with the printer.
The interior of each partition ink tank (reservoir), is a tiny metal plate. In response to a signal from the inkjet printer, a small flow of current through the metal causing it to warm up. The ink immediately surrounding the hob is vaporized. Accordingly, the total volume of ink is higher than that of the inkjet cartridge. A drop of ink falls out of the cartridge on the paper. This process takes place a few milliseconds which equals nearly 6,000 times per second.
Usually, two separate ink cartridges are inserted in an inkjet printer: one containing black ink and one with each of the three primary colors (cyan, magenta and yellow). Alternatively, each primary color may have a dedicated cartridge. Some inkjet cartridges are specially designed for printing photos. All print providers to produce their own type of ink jet cartridges. inkjet cartridges for different printers may be incompatible - Either physically or electrically. Since inkjet cartridges for replacement by the original manufacturer of the printer are often expensive, some manufacturers other products "compatible" inkjet cartridges that alternatives cheaper. Some inkjet cartridges have built-in print head (most inkjet printers using Hewlett Packard this system). Usually, they are more expensive, but printers are cheaper. Others do not include the print head, but they are most economical and inkjet printers are more expensive (for example, most inkjet printers Epson).
In general, inkjet cartridges are very expensive compared to the printer itself. Many people, therefore, use compatible ink jet cartridges (Also called "generic" - those made by a company other than OEM printer manufacturer) that provide a comparable quality, but with considerable savings. Another alternative involves modifications that allow the use continuous ink systems that use external ink tanks. Some people choose to use ink cheap, knowing that in the long run it could damage the printer. However, the cost savings of 4 or 5 inkjet cartridges refilled might suffice to pay for a new inkjet printer. If the printer takes more than that, they got the same result (economically speaking) to a lower cost than using original supplies.
Consumers are often surprised by the price of replacing their inkjet cartridges, especially when compared to buying a new ink jet printer. The major printer manufacturers, Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Dell, Canon, Epson and Brother often break even or lose money selling printers and expect to recoup their losses by selling inkjet cartridges over the lifetime of the printer. Since much of the profits of manufacturers of printers are made Inkjet cartridges and toner sales, these companies have taken various measures to limit the options of consumers using inkjet cartridges alternatives.
However, many consumers have purchased remanufactured cartridges Business alternative to save money on buying new inkjet cartridges. This is a much better use of resources much cheaper and a whole industry developed around this idea.
