Lithium is also a very reactive, which means that a lot of energy can be stored in its atomic bonds. This results in very high energy density for lithium-ion batteries.
2.Here is a way to get a perspective on the energy density. A typical lithium-ion battery can store 150 watt-hours of electricity in 1 kg of battery. A NiMH (nickel-metal hydride) can store perhaps 100 watt-hours per kilogram, although 60 to 70 watt-hour, perhaps more typical. A lead-acid battery can store only 25 watt-hours per kilogram. With lead-acid technology, it takes 6 kg for the same store amount of energy as 1 kg of lithium-ion battery can handle. It's a huge difference
They hold their charge. A lithium-ion does loses about 5 percent of its charge per month, compared with a loss of 20 percent per month for NiMH batteries.
They have no memory effect, this which means you do not completely discharge before recharging them, as for some other types of batteries.

This does not mean that the lithium-ion batteries are impeccable. They have some disadvantages as well:
They start degrading as soon as they leave the factory. They only last two or three years from date of manufacture if you use them or not.
They are extremely sensitive to high temperatures. The heat causes the lithium-ion packs to deteriorate faster than usual.
If you completely discharge a lithium-ion laptop battery hp, it is ruined.
A lithium-ion battery hp laptop must have an onboard computer to manage the battery. This will makes it even more expensive than they already are.
It is a small chance that if a lithium-ion laptop battery hp fails, it ignites.
