OVERVIEW: Like its brother the 6125, the Xerox Phaser 6130 comes with everything for the right-out-of-box color-printing, plus an expandable memory and PostScript 3.
PROS:
Weighing 46 pounds and a height of 15 ", the Phaser 6130 in the form of box has a true 15.5" x 17.5 "footprint. Sitting on a desk, the 6130 is at about elbow height.
In less than 14 seconds, the Phaser 6130 will start printing up to 16 pages per minute black and white. Point Sales of color laser comes with its speed. Using a model of single-pass printing, color prints can be as fast as 12 ppm.
The 6130 comes with a tray of 250 sheets which supports up to legal size (8 ½ x 14 in.) paper without expansion of the printer footprint. CONS:
A sacrifice is a color printer print speeds. However, the Phaser 6130 is abnormally slow speeds even print B & W mode at a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. Although the color speed is impressive, a company or office that prints mostly black and white should invest in a separate monochrome laser printer instead of relying on the 6130 for both jobs.
/ NEEDS toner cartridges:
The toner cartridges that come with the Phaser 6130 are only good for about 500 pages (or a lot fewer pages if you plan to do lots of printing photographic images). Toner black printing doubles the capacity of color toner 1000 pages. To save on cost of toner combo packages are available
A side panel on the side of the 6130 gives access to the four toner cartridges. Something to consider when finding a parking space in the office for this printer.
